13 pools in 90 days

Thank goodness for swimming pools, and a lot of them, when the temperatures have been 100+ degrees and there has been no rain since April. The weather forecast for today was labeled "Fry"day. That's not good. I think they even said it was a "heat emergency" although I'm not really sure what that means. With that being said our Neighborhood Association has come up with a "13 pools in 90 days" challenge. The kids and I have made it to 5 of the 13.

This is our neighborhood pool so we go to this one the most. It has some fun things but is not so cool that it is overly crowded. We packed up our dinner and ate there the other night. It was great.

This is the newest pool in the Woodland and probably the most exciting. In addition to this play structure, there is a lazy river, lap pool, and a three story tube slide.

This one is pool greatness! Avery's kindergarten class met here one Saturday afternoon. The picture is taken from the point of view of a 3 person wide slide. We will have to go back to this one soon although it's far from our house.

This is a lame picture of this pool but the kids and I met some friends for a swim at this pool. It was the only one open preseason during the week. Needless to say, it was packed the day we went.

Yesterday, the kids an I checked out this pool.
With that being said, we welcome all New Yorkers to come and visit. Well, just the ones we know.

These are community pools?

Yes. We have to pay for pool passes which are $40 but worth every penny. The rates are higher if you don't live in "The Woodlands."

So cool!! Those are the most incredible community pools I've ever seen! Sure beat Canastota and Oneida's, anyway...
